Many couples want to celebrate and reaffirm their love and commitment for one another by renewing their marriage vows, either privately or publicly, and by saying “I do” again.

Having a public Renewal Vows ceremony, doesn’t mean that the couple having a second wedding. Unlike a wedding, the couple don’t have traditions and etiquette rules for vow renewals to guide them. Wedding couple probably want to say something a little different than first-time brides and grooms would. Lots of the couple write their own vows, to show and express their love regardless of how long they have been married.
Most vow renewals tend to be intimate celebrations, with only close family and friends present, and a lunch or dinner afterward at a nice restaurant. Conversely, others who didn’t have much money for their first wedding have very lavish ceremonies and parties afterward.
